I grew up with it, I've known all there is to know about the back-end since I was 8, and I see no reason to change. There was a feeling of helplessness when I used Linux that I imagine a lot of end-users have with Windows. I didn't have a clue what I was doing, and when something went wrong, I couldn't fix it. Quite terrifying, really.

I guess that's why I like it so much more on the PDA. Sharp's Zaurus was designed with Linux in mind, and so it works very smoothly despite the limitations of such a small form factor. Its track record for driver support has been surprisingly good in my opinion. It accepted without incident a WiFi card straight out of the box, and wireless keyboard drivers were a cinch to download. I've routinely used it with memory cards of just about every make and size I've found. By simply looking over several other CF devices made by companies like Pretec and Socket and the support they have for the Zaurus, I see much potential in that handheld.

Of course, being a Linux box, the geek potential is in there too.

Windows is going downhill, sure the graphics and whatnot are getting better but if you compare the latest to the earlier versions you can really tell it's getting worse.

For me, Windows 98 SE is serving its purpose. I see no reason to upgrade to XP.

If you're still using W95 or 98 I suggest you upgrade when you can cuz technology is leaving them out.

No, ME was the best! It worked with all my old stuff and most of my new stuff. Now I have XP it works with hardly any of my old stuff and all of my new stuff (I hav more old stuff than new stuff)
The end is nigh!
