Well any quiz like this, no matter how thorough will fail to give an absolute picture or delve deep enough into every question. I see the result as a starting point, but know not to make judgements on other people's political views based on these two numbers.
Here's one question that can be interpreted differently...
It is important that my child's school instills religious values.
From this some might think school education being driven by religious dogma, or religious education being worked into seemingly unnecessary places. However I answered "Agreed" on this because I know religious values can also mean charity, peace and understanding.
Unfortunately it's the hateful stuff that'll usually make it into the news because of the sensationalism. But looking at a larger picture, I can see some aspects of religion as beneficial. The question, frustratingly, doesn't say what aspects will be taught. If there was a neautral option I'd have picked that because of this particular wording.
How contradictory is it for an atheist to pick this option? Like I said, religion has beneficial sides (however rarely some seem to express them). And instead of trying to eradicate religion I'd rather people make up their own minds, provided they've done some critical reading into what they're supporting/against.
All this is wishful thinking probably, especially about some parts of America. In the various places I've been I received a balanced religious education encompassing different faiths, so my views may be skewed in that way.
Edit - While I was searching for this particular question I went through the test and randomly selected options and got -0.25/0.41, almost exactly on the center.
