Thanks for the replies gang.
O.k....I'll chime in for a bit here.
When I draw something, There's usually an image in my head that is trying to claw its way out, and I try my best to get whats in my head onto the paper.
Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesnt.
I use the standard cross in the circle technique, and usually draw a stick figure as well. I still have problems with foreshortening, perspective and hands. But I do the best I can. Thats all anybody can do right.
Maybe someday I'll be at least a competent artist, lord knows I keep trying.
How do you do it?

I usually have an idea about the pose of the characters before I draw them. If they're on a sofa or something, I draw that first to get a good idea of where their head would be when sitting down, etc.
I start with the head, and work down. I do it first with a light pencil, then go over the detail with an HB pencil.
Then I ink, smaller pen for the eyes and a larger gage for the body and head.
