Ozy asks for help

First, I'd like to point out an easter egg that has so far gone undiscovered. The signs in the first panel don't match up with the signs in the fourth, including the piece sign turning into the anarchy sign! This little scene, actually, is something that I really enjoy about O&M. Characters who either have not yet been introduced to the current story arc, or don't have relavance to the particular strip may be off doing there own thing, such as in the background, timulty playing a drum, or millie shooting a laser pistol at some object off screen. "Ozy asks for help" is one of the ones that you see whatever Millie is doing get interupted. We as the readers have no clue what inspired her protest, and are left to just imagin the possibilities.

As for what simpson sais about this strip, he sais that sometimes the comic writer needs to know whem to stop. The way i see it, having a small response after the main punchline isn't bad at all! actually, I found ozy's response quite funny, and i felt it added something to the strip. As for the drawing style being 'clunky', although I disagree, it is always visualy interesting to see the transitions between sub-styles, plus those transitions make i easier to see what time frame a clip form the "Name that O&M clip" game is from!
If you've done things right, people won't be sure if you've done anything at all.
Darn you, my first post to the "Current Strips" forum and you beat me to it before I even posted it!

Anyway, Simpson's repost comments for today mostly consisted of beating himself up over the quality of his work, something I think he does WAY too much. He acts like he's just done stick figures or something when he was aiming for the Mona Lisa, but I would give body parts to have a small fraction of his artistic ability (or anyone's in here, for that matter).

I do like seeing Millie hold political demostrations with her stuffed animals and dolls, I used to do that same thing (still do sometimes with my Legos). It's fun to be a radical!

Here's another example of what Millie does with her stuffed animals when she's not entangled in the misadventures of another storyline.

And of course he's excessively critical of his artwork. That's what good artists do.

I don't remember where I heard this, but there's a quote that's something like

Mess up once, and nobody notices.
Mess up twice, the critics notice.
Mess up three times, the auidence notices.

Or something...
