Yay, Uru! I wish I'd gotten that before the online bit died. (Although technically, that was just the Uru Live Prolouge, so Live never really started.)

Although, my favorite of the series is still Riven. Partly because Gehn is so wonderfully creepy.

My sister and mother were more excited about Myst than I was, but I did play it a bit. I just never finished because I didn't feel like looking at the strategy guide.

Riven, on the other hand, was so difficult that I decided to go for the book. That's probably the most beautiful of the Myst games I've played, but it could have used more book travel. And perhaps more English.

Myst III: Exile is actually my favorite, primarily because I got very far without cheating. It has just about the right presence of fellow humans in it, and I just love the animals.

I have not played any of the Uru games. It seems very wrong to be playing a version of Myst in which you can see your alter ego, and that alter ego is CGI for that matter. I also hear that they are as slow as they are beautiful.

The only thing I really have to refer to help for when I play Riven is the base-25 D'ni numeral system. I can never remember that. I think the main reason I liked it so much was all the life in it (not to mention the puzzles which some claimed to be insanely hard). Myst III was far too easy. Giving that too Presto Studios may have been one of Cyan's worst mistakes. Myst IV was a good deal more involving, though. And I'll have to reserve judgement on Myst V: End of Ages until next week, when it comes out. Glee!

Yes, I'm very much a Myst nerd. Oh, heck, I'm practically a Cyan nut. Not enough to have learned D'ni, but nerd enough to have read all the books and several of RAWA's comments. Heck, I even remember RivenGuild and the old Riven Lysts. (Good times, good times.) Then there were all those internal dialouges with myself regarding quantum physics and the inner workings of Age-writing, though I still haven't acquired a copy of Schroedinger's Cat.
. . . Which is why I'm incredibly excited about the Myst V Collector's Edition having a D'ni vocabulary and grammar guide as well as a preview of The Book of Marrim. Of course, this means I'm also terribly upset about Cyan's closing.

. . . Maybe I should go draw some more Myst stuff. I know! Shroomie!

(Yes, I'm quite insane.)

Eh. Something I doodled (in class. It helps me concentrate! Really!) when I was feeling under the weather. Due to a strange preoccupation with alliteration the title is Fevered Feline.

Edit: Oooo. Didn't know it was so big. If anyone has a problem I'll take it off.
Re-edit: Half sized now.
