It's a good joke, I suppose, but hard for me to judge because I can scarcely retain the message at all. It's like the average guy trying to read seven Hallmark cards in a row.

I certainly didn't think in such abstract terms when I finished HBP. (Hm, Millie speaks of "the end of 'Harry Potter'" when in fact she means the end of the latest book. It's a little soon for anyone to be revealing the real end of HP.)

I'll give credit to Dye for using more space and verbiage per panel than newspaper comics have gotten to use in decades.

The end end of Harry Potter:

I predict a bunch of bad stuff will happen and then Harry will rely on his friends or heart or love or whatever and everything will be solved and semi-happily ever after.

Spoilers don't work on me. And I honestly don't care about Harry Potter.

You take that back!
I wonder if it'll finally get it's own forum too. I've always wanted a place online where I can talk about O&M.

I noted, after finishing book 6, that I did feel kinda hollow at the end, as if there was something a bit unsatisfactory about it. Ozy's comments in the first panel fit that well. I got something similar about book 5. I guess it's a problem when you're reading books that are defininitely part of a finite series. I didn't get it at all with books 1 or 2 (probably because I got in on the whole HP thing after book 3 came out, so I read 1, 2 and 3 in very rapid succession - actually reading 1 and 2 on the same day), I got it a bit with 3 and a bit more with 4. It's kind of slowly been growing on me with each book, I guess.

Harry Potter blows. I don't get this strip at all. What a waste of a day

The fact is that the joke is that it you would have no clue it was a spoiler anyways. *l*

BTW, who is the person that wrote this. I know a Clovis Dye who writes comics, I wonder if their related. That obviously isn't Clovis' form of humor though. He's more likely to use a visual gag, or slapstick type non-sequiter, than a subtile non-sequiter like that one.

That's like reading the last page of Catcher in the Rye would not ruin the book.

It just shows how easily people get sucked into those books. It's a funny strip if you like Harry Potter or if you want to see him die in a gruesome way.

I enjoy the books but not rabidly. Theres much better magic stories out there and much better "school" stories. The fact that I can't name one off the top of my head is due to laziness though. Really!

Anyways, the quality of the newest book is down compared to the others. Like Rowling got lazy or something mid-way through.
