My mom now has a blue and gold dragon from Anthrocon peering over her office computer's screen. Last night she declared that it needed a name, one befitting a dragon of the O&M variety. I couldn't see it anymore, but she said it looked female. I suggested many possibilities that had three or more syllables, were old-fashioned but preferably not biblical (we don't mind the Bible, but the only dragon in it represents Satan), and contained hard sounds.

Today my mom decided on Rosamunde, thinking not only of the sound but of the meaning "famous defender." When I looked it up, however, half the sources defined it as "pure rose" or something similar. Hm. Well, as long as the dragon is happy.

Any chance of seeing a pic of said dragon?
OK, I'll ask my mom for a photo.

I now realize that Isolde has hard sounds and Llewellyn does not. As if to equalize the masculinity and femininity. The same is not true of Ozymandias and Millicent, or their shorter versions. Maybe it's a dragon thing. I always kinda thought they had less gender distinction.

We don't have a photo of the specific dragon yet, but this woman made it.

Have you tried looking in Job for a name? I'm guessing liviathian(spelling?).
I wonder if it'll finally get it's own forum too. I've always wanted a place online where I can talk about O&M.

Ozymandias has a lot of vowel sounds and is befitting of a spondaic meter, where as Millicent is decidedly dactylic.
The end is nigh!
