Snow!
Moderator:Æron
Currently there's about 15-20cm of snow outside, which is pretty rare in these parts. The seaclimate in the Netherlands often screws up winter, and apart from a few isolated days there hasn't been much frost this year. This much snow is even rarer because it's March already

Is there any snow currently in wherever you guys live?

Well, the snow finally stopped coming down here... I'm just wondering how much of a challenge getting to work will be.

"Only" at least a dozen feet (four meters) worth of snow has fallen this season so far around these parts.

Go..... Away...... Snow!!

I think there were a few flakes this afternoon. Though it was odd. It was like they were too heavy to be snow from the fact they fell like raindrops but too light to be hail on the fact they didn't hurt or make a sound on contact with anything. I shall call this weather condition Snil. Or maybe Haow.

It's been snowing pretty bad last Monday and Tuesday. They even cancelled classes for Monday. Appalachian State University rarely cancel classes due to weather.
I wonder if it'll finally get it's own forum too. I've always wanted a place online where I can talk about O&M.

Apparently in the northwest of the country the amount of snow neared half a meter, and this is apparently the most snow since 1979

(hhmmm.... lets see 15x2.5= 37.5...20x2.5=50 inches...) between 37.5-50 inches? yikes the most we've ever had at once here in Maryland is 27 inches back sometime in the 1920's...(named the "Knickerboker Storm" because the building with that name(Knickerboker) collapsed the same night it opened because of the weight of the snow on the roof.) the most I've seen is 24 inches back in January 1996...
