Ozys...fur change?
If I recall from the FAQ page, Ozy technically should have molted his greyish fur for pure white ahwile ago, or as an anthromorph, will in a few years. I prefer the grey tones to an albinoish fur, and maybe the Llewellyn Hair Curse has some article that makes him keep his fur the same color or something, but just wanted to point this and a few other things out (since I cant compete with Caigan/Allison/Ghostway/Octan's coloring skill), ANYONES drawing prowess, etc.
*edit*
those "other things" will be posted as soon as i can remember them. I have a craving for a root beer float and some movies.
Um, with all due respect, what exactly are you talking about? From the FAQ (bolded for emphasis):

Quote:

17. What species is Ozy?

A small arctic fox. I'm not sure why he isn't white in winter. I used to think he was a wolf, but then a friend showed me some pictures of arctic fox kits which were absolute ringers for how I draw Ozy. This convinced me. It has also resulted in some confusion.

So he's not supposed to molt.

So out of all the events and oddities of Ozy and Millie...

You focus on a slight fur tone difference?

Only kidding, but I can't say I've ever thought about it myself.
Oh dear lord sig is fubar. o_o
i'm pretty sure it was decided that the Llewellyn hair curse was only placed upoun Percival Smaug Llewellyn because he was, ironically, a dragon, and therefore had no hair, so he would never figure out that gypsies are fake.

either that, or Llewellyn made it up.
pants jesus
DCS should've ended the comic a year or two ago.

Can't believe I didn't see the reference to Tolkien's The Hobbit before now.

That's true.

Where he's an anthromorph the change in fur color would start 1-4 years from the point now in the comic strip. Remember Lewellyn mentioning that he might begine breathing fire soon. That's also probably why the hair curse keeps kicking in on him.

--Edit Ammendum by orriginal poster:

It would also explain why Ozy gets fur problems so much more frequently than Millie, as Millie is a red fox, and red foxs don't have nearly as significant fur changes as they approach adulthood.
Nothing better to do maybe?
I sometimes wondered about it too, but from the very beginning, Simpson has always colored Ozy with some grey, even when the scenery was white with snow, so I just let it go assuming that's the way it ought to be anyway.

Come to think of it, my furry identity should lose his color in the winter too, although technically, it does when I forget to draw in the spots. Okay... nevermind.
ok ok ghostway, i blame HUNGER for not reading that thorughly BUT, what about

1: Ozy and Millie (and the rest of the kids in their class) having Ms. Sorkowitz year after year as a teacher? It MIGHT be that Llewellyn teachers teach more than one grade at a time, spanning K-12 grades...but a question nonetheless.

2: Ozy surviving the mercury fumes from Isolde's soak? Having Ozy die wouldn't be the best resolution, but im bringing all these questions up academically; im not expecting a plot/strip change AT ALL. So please don't yell at me for not appreciating the strips; as I said, I like pointing inconsistancies out As Felix put it, i have nothing better to contribute (if you call it that). If only I didn't live in a military base, I'd be doing something else, like making dry ice bombs or such to pass the time

3: Llewellyn ordering a bowling ball/shoe in a Chinese resturant in a failed attempt at speaking the theme language, while successfully ordering for Ms. Mudd in another?
http://www.ozyandmillie.org/2000/om2000 ...
http://www.ozyandmillie.net/2001/om2001 ... >

4: How do the cushions not get sucked up in The Vortex of Ozy's couch?

5: What part of Millie WOULD change color in this strip? You have way too much time on your hands.
I wonder if it'll finally get it's own forum too. I've always wanted a place online where I can talk about O&M.
Math is NEVER overrated. Math is the key to upholding the modern world.
It takes language to build a society, but math and science to build a world.
