I played PSO for Gamecube. It's fun. Until you fight a boss, and realize you need to gain 10 more levels before you can beat it. And considering how long it takes to level up, I got bored. I think I have a HUmar, lv. 30 something. My borther played it for Xbox, but he stopped playing it. I think for the same reason.
Heres something that might've helped you out. XD Equip some items that raise HP. I recently fought dark falz on very hard. It had been the 4th or 5th time I went through ruins again to fight him. Since I'm a FOmar, I gotta generaly be higher than other people in order to beat the same boss. I was devistated to find out that I could still make it to his 3rd stage, yet his grants didn't kill me, but swinging his arm at me still does in one hit. I kept thinking that I am barely being killed. So I suddenly had a great idea. I equipped my 2 dragon HPs to my 2 slots in my frame. Each one raised my HP by 40. Both together equaled one God HP. I was then able to survive and beat him.
I'm probably going to change my avatar again soon. My current one is a reference to a particularly odd night in #definecynical Might revert to the ASE.

In the almost entire year I've been here, this is only my third avatar. o_0
It's of the COOLEST BAND EVER! (Nightwish)
If you like that stuff, that is.

Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
