What the heck is with all the number 8 responses? I expected one maybe. But you can't honestly tell me you people don't EVER think about sex with ANYONE. Saving yourself until marriage or not having any luck with getting a date or being a virgin/wanting to stay a virgin for some other reason does not make you asexual. Sexual orientation is simply which sex you are attracted to. If all of your libidos are really that low, that's a sign of depression, and you should seek therapy.

I think there is some confusion in this question about celibacy, abstinance, and complete lack of sexual interest.

Neither celibacy or abstinance necesarily mean that one would never have any sexual feelings toward anyone.

I doubt there are very many of us who never have any sexual feelings toward anybody. If you really don't, you are probably not healthy mentally or physically.

Part of the problem here might be that the question is not really asking for the information that you originally set out to find, i.e. if it is skewing on one dimension of freedom that dimension might not be relevant or useful.

Honestly, I think the options were poorly written, and it makes little sense to try to understand what option 8 meant since so many have had different reasons for picking it.

Given the lack of choices for one's preference, #8 seems to be a catch-all for:
Celibate; nonsexual (prefers to not have sex, period)
Asexual (autosexual? Um... active, but not with anyone else.)
Hopeless (Doesn't matter, a mate can't be found anyway.)
Abstinent (Intends to wait until marriage, and thus the whole matter of preference is irrelevant.)
and others I have quite totally overlooked.

Honestly, a lot of you are being too technical about this. If you want to be clearer on your point of view, just post your thoughts, and don't be too bothered by what you see in the polling results.

I personally am not looking for anything in that sense right now, and not for a while. I'm a streight male, but I don't like playing the field so to speek, I'd rather wait around and find someone worth my love. My standards are fairly high, and I bet the only way I'd meet someone who meets them is by fate.

There were a few girls I've liked in the past, my "childhood crush" I lost track of when I moved, one love I forgot to exchange addresses with at summer camp (and she's one of the few I'd consider perfect in many senses, I wish one of my cabin mates hadn't had been trying to sabatoche our relationship due to his jealousy. Major rat that guy.) I lost track of her the same year, as that move was why I didn't have an address to give her. Then there was my high school crush, who when I finally got the nerve to talk to, had decided she was a lesbian. (Talk about rejection) And needless to say, it wasn't an excuse, as there were already rumors, and she wouldn't go around confirming such rumors just to get rid of an admirer. There was also a cybergirlfriend, which also didn't turn out well. She was too conflicted. I still can't get a streight story from her about anything. I can only tell what I've derived from my good old hacking skills, which is that she lives in a small city outside Oklahoma, and is between 18-24 now. That was from the domain name of her IP addresses over the age. She also went to an Oklahoma State university, I don't know which one. That was where she was when I last contacted her.

If any of the girls are here, this series of dates should be enough for them to recognize me. first two 07/1993 (One met, one last saw me.) Foxs are manogomous. They are not quick to choose a mate, like most carnivorous mammals. It is one of the many things misunderstood about foxes. Another unusual trate about foxes is that they will not take more than they need when hunting, a behavior that is unheard of in most carnivors.
Hm. Would describe myself as being Pansexual. However, for the purposes of this quiz, I'll go by combining my feelings of lust and my actual desire to mate.

Which either means I should go for 8 or 5. Though, since I would like to mate if the right person comes along, guess that means I'll be going for 5 (hey, while love wise either/any gender will do and neither will also be fine, lust (being described as a purely physical attraction) wise I tend to physically prefer men but quite definitely could become physically attracted to a female. Hey, it's happened. For the record, lust != love by any stretch of the imagination, nore would I be willing to actually mate with someone on lust alone.
