I'm just waiting for them to create something similar to the Cylons real-life.

Ah. The human-created robotic species from the old sci-fi series Battlestar Galactica. Recently there was a mini-series (two episodes) remaking the pilot episode, which wasn't a direct remake by any stretch of the imagination, but had the same basic plot "Cylons nuke the human colonies, human colonies go off in search of earth". The UK is airing the full series that follows on from the mini-series. I think it was part of a deal where a UK channel provides some funding towards the production of it in exchange for the world premier of the full series. If the mini-series was a reinvisioning of the concept, and only loosely based on the original, the series is even moreso.
