Yeah, I just remembered a couple things from chemistry class, acid isn't all bad, in fact, the human body is supposed to be slightly acidic, thats why lyme is used to dissolve bodies when you don't want them found. Not to mention the thing about cancer being caused by acid is also false, cancer is when the cells malfunction and start growing without stopping, it has to do with a mutation or something like that. I usually don't believe the articles talking about how fruits and vegetables do all this good stuff for you, mainly because it sounds like an advertisement for those quack medical elixers "This magical fruit will cure you of sickness and disease, yes even cancer falls before this mighty plant, and you can have it for the low price of 5 dollars a piece, who wants a healthy life!"<br><br>I know it is healthy but it just seems odd.
By the power of greyskull, I'm not sure I believe that.

This would've been a good example for my critical thinking class last year. <!--emo&<_<--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... ns/dry.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='dry.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Not like it matters - I'm still struggling through this year's courses. <!--emo&<_<--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... ns/dry.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='dry.gif' /><!--endemo--><br>And I still need a job! ><<br>Not to mention all the paradoxes I could end up with...

I have way too many time machines. It gets annoying when I have to set them back for Daylight Savings Time. And this one seems to be stuck in a loop. And this one seems to be stuck in a loop. And this one seems to be stuck in a loop. And this one...<br><br><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... 452382.gif' border='0' alt='user posted image' /> Okay, looks like the batteries finally went dead on that one. Where was I?

It seems every time you turn around there's some scientist saying "Such-and-such will kill you" or "so-and-so prevents this disease" and after a while you realize they'll change their mind about it in a matter of weeks. Like lycopene. For a while they thought it prevented heart disease, but within weeks they had changed their mind and were saying it didn't. But in the meantime ketchup sales soared and made a lot of slick day-traders happy. This one I was pretty sure was a fraud, since most fruits are more acidic than alkaline (even the sweet ones).<br><br>And before we drop the subject of acid...<br><!--QuoteBegin-some poster I saw+--> <table border='0' align='center' width='95%' ><tr><td class='quotetop'><b>Quote:</b> (some poster I saw)</td></tr><tr><td class='quotebody'> Little Jimmy took a drink,<br>But he will drink no more --<br>For what he thought was H2O<br>Was H2SO4.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
