Okay, I exaggerated a bit. But you gotta admit most of the users' sites have very little or nothing there. Unless I just can't see it.

But that's not important. I decided I need to get practice setting up a POP3 account, so I'll take you up on the offer for now. I'll email you saying what address I'd like, and we'll figure out where to go from there.

Thanks, Felix. Andd sorry if I sounded ungrateful. Heck, if the others are right about not being able to get POP3 for free anywhere else, this is a rare opportunity!

No worries, glad I could help. Like I said, I have 500 accounts I can create, and I'm only using like 20 of them, so if anyone else wants an email account, just drop an email to webmaster@lupinia.us with your desired username and password

Ya know Octan, I'd pounce on the opportunity if I were you.
Free stuff that you normally have to pay for is a good thing!
And if you're afraid of someone going "Hey! What's with the furry crap?" then you look 'em in the eye an' say "Then let's see you get a better deal!" or something.

Actually the "Regime Change" title got me interested because it's the name of a Newshounds book.

Well, I'm trying out the new account...

* crosses fingers *

Crud. Same problem I had with all the others. It keeps re-prompting for my password without even taking enough time to verify it. Any nerds out there, HELP!

Make sure your username in your POP3 client is your whole email address. Other than that, it should be ok...what client are you using?

I can give you live support too if you'd like, #########.

Well, I feel like a real idiot. It works perfectly now.

But...never being one to admit full responsibility (and always looking for a way to blame the equipment), I gotta wonder...why does it automatically enter the wrong thing?

Ah well. At least now I have a new email address and I can kiss Juno goodbye. Thank you Felix. You have been a tremendous help. (Heck, now that I realize what the problem was, maybe I can get OE to recognize my Netscape account too!)

My server uses a non-default format for username authentication, silly iPowerWeb. Glad it works for ya!

Most servers only require the username (the default for Outlook/OE when it auto-enters your username), mine requires the full address. FTP is the same way, which throws off a lot of people and makes IE go nutso.
