I'm not sure what effect his death will have, but it's always nice to see the local boy make good.

Even when the best thing he ever did was die.

Palestine was peaceful for many years once the Romans sacked Jerusalem.

There's a lesson in that, I'm sure of it.

Oh the irony of the title

"Another shot at peace"

I think that Israel will use this as an excuse to take the West Bank, GW will side with Pallestine, TB will follow suit, and nobody'll actually go to war, but there'll be trade restrictions placed on Israel on the quiet or summat.
The end is nigh!

Actually, the President has said that he would support a palestinian state at peace with Israel.

What I want to know-- what I'm really failing to understand-- is why they don't just set the borders of Israel along with the British Mandate of Palestine, and have Arabs and Jews live together. Would that be so bad? What of the numerous Arabs who have lived peacefulyl in Israel since 1948?

Oh, that's right. They're all chauvanistic bastards. That's why.

Interesting topic this is turning out to be. As for me, unfortunatly my knowledge on the matter is quite limited (which is probably why this caught my attention), so I'll sit by the sidelines and watch.
