Boy, that title got you here fast.

Actually I use creative titles a lot, and you'll see it sorta has meaning here. I have a computer-based problem, and since I don't know any "geek" forums I'm forced to solicit help where I can. Here's the deal:

I currently use Juno as my email provider. Juno has its own offline program, similar to Outlook Express, that I use to download the messages onto my machine. But now Juno is discontinuing the service that lets one get their email that way. Now, in order to avoid paying for it, I'd have to get all my email through their website, meaning I wouldn't have a "hard" copy of anything.

I've looked for services that claim to provide POP3 (Outlook-Express-Compatible) email service for free, but once I sign up with them, and then try to connect to them via OE or Thunderbird, it returns error messages. These messages claim, of all things, that my password is invalid. I suspect the real problem is that they don't allow POP3 access to non-paying customers.

So my question is: Do any of you have a free email account that you use to access email through Outlook Express/Thunderbird, and if so who is it with?

Thanks for your time.

Sorry, I think that there's beeen a general move toward charging for POP3 service. You may be able to find one that costs in the tens of dollars per year, though. I think Yahoo might offer a service like that . . .

Drop me an email (webmaster@lupinia.us), I'll give you a free POP3 account or two on my server, I have plenty of them

(That goes for everyone else, as well )

Ah, yes. From the guy who offered free image hosting. Well, if nothing else works out I'll go for it. Although I'd be a little uncomfortable having the last part of my email address being the URL of a furry site, not being one myself. (Avatar notwithstanding.)

Anyhow, any other ideas out there?
For $100 I'll give you my old domain name and hosting account, since I don't want to renew it

And Lupinia isn't exactly a furry site, more like a community that happens to have high furry content . But whatever, just thought I'd offer. As far as I can tell, there are no free email hosts that offer POP3/SMTP access, mostly because it's very easy to abuse such services for spamming. Good luck.
