What is House Rules Parcheesi?
If anyone has read the M.Y.T.H. books, this conversation is starting to sound a bit like Dragon Poker.

The rules of the game change upon the time of day, number of players, position of players, etc, etc, etc.

=)

If it helps, Parcheesi is called "Ludo" in my part of the world.

As to the house rules version, maybe the house rules are revised every game, It seems fitting with Llewelyn, and that way D.C. Simpson doesn't have to be consistent about what they are, as long as they cause some general mayhem, and something gets broken.
LLEWELLYN: And surely you've noticed that a great deal of what I do is extremely strange.

Despite what has been said about Parcheesi and Ludo and what-have-you, I don't think House Rules Parcheesi has any real connection with actual Parcheesi at all. Although...

"You have to move your roll of duck tape around the giant ceramic hippo"

...does sound a little like Ludo (a.k.a. "Sorry", "Trouble", "Aggravation"). But then what on earth is a blorm? Oh well. But it's also possible that Isolde's house rules are different from Llewellyn's. Which would explain how they have totally different ways of winning.

I think their are a few set rules in House Rules Parcheesi, but I also think their are just as any individual rules. However I think the house rules are more on the lines of the board setup. Hence the game can be completely different every time but still the same. I think we need to see more of House Rules Parcheesi before we can figure out.
