I decided to reintroduce this thread, because it was one of my favorites, and I thought t might be fun to go over again.

The question is, are there any songs that remind you of Ozy and Millie, or any of the characters therein?

I have my share, to be sure, but I've discovered a new one, recently... One that may surprize you...

"Desperado" by The Eagles

To be sure, there's nothing about O&M that in any way relates to the lyrics of that song...

But there's just something about that piano refrain at the end, the bittersweet melody of it, that just sort of makes me picture Ozy and Millie, like they're smiling at each other and then walking off-stage at the song's end...

Weird, huh?

"Take My Hand" by Nancy Kenyon. Also "Himiwari" by Ai Maeda. Those two are the one that insipred the first two pics that I drew.

Other ones I think of are "Born To Run" by Bruce Springsteen for some reason.

"Give Peace a Chance" by John Lennon (obviously).

"Remember the Days of the Old Schoolyard" - Cat Stevens (I really don't like this song but it makes me think of O&M)
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

I just recently heard a song by Weird Al called "Young, Dumb and Ugly." The lines

We were born to be bad, you'd better not get us mad
Or we might just toilet paper your lawn

reminded me of Millie in so many ways.

But then again it is Weird Al; it's really a wonder that more of his songs don't remind me of O&M. He and David would probably get along rather well.

Old Friends - Simon and Garfunkel
Baggy Trousers - Madness, this one really suits Millie as the school kids described in the song get up to some antics very much in accord with Millie. Also part of the refrain, "all i learned in school, was how to bend and break the rules" seems appropiate to her.
