OK i had this idea for a rip off of Kill Bill called Kill Mill (Dont worry its just Millie being a ninja she doesnt get killed). It was going to be a one-off poster-stylee thing but then I started trying some action poses (it would really help if i knew how to skeleton) and I thought about it being a bit more of a character. Then I realised that there was hardly any Millie in it at all and so im thinkin about scrappin the name.

All in all I think that it will remain a one off ninja-fiox with no "Kill Mill" title or anything. Also if anyone can tell me how to pencil a sunset with clouds for behind a silhouette that's be grand.

Will post soon.
The end is nigh!

>.< i went to add reply before looking at the posts, and i dont want to just ignore anything here, so i'll take what i have down for now and repost it later. in any case, I like what you have going there, holyman. Thats a cool looking style you've got going there. With a little bit of practice, and some refinement (i can say this because i was a really cruddy"artist" when i first joined DC) your style could really become awesome!
If you've done things right, people won't be sure if you've done anything at all.

Skeletoning is easy, Oz. That's its job, acutally: to make cartooning easier. It helped me draw the second panel to that one cartoon I made for Sabre's birthday--when I wasn't sure where I wanted his limbs to be positioned for punching my eye out. I sketched a stick fig to help me vision that.

And those pictures are boss, Holy Man.

I haven't replied for some time and just to show i'm not ingrateful or such, i'd just like to say everyone's work is great, keep at it, until the bitter end when you've chewed your pencil too much.

Art tip for Ozymandias....
Two tips actually, for the sunset idea, get a thick shading pencil that you can use sideways and pencil large areas with a single stroke. Draw the black sky (or get a colour pencil if you're doing it that way) with it and leave the clouds and sun blank. This method can give you that fluffy cloud edge look.
The other way is the exact same method, but completely darken the sky or places you want to colour with the same thick pencil. Then get an eraser and rub out the various shapes you want, clouds, sun etc. I find this great for night pictures, especially when you're drawing the light of a streetlamp at night.

These are just two ideas for pencil, since that's the medium i'm most familiar with.

Nice work, but the scan is a little large for my screen. I do like the way you handled the posing for the silhouette in the middle and the simple design of the thrown star on the upper right.

Ozy - that flat-out rocks. Kinda big, but awesome nonetheless.

holyman - I like your style, it's more original and unique (unlike me, who can barely imitate O&M ) I like seeing someone who can draw their own stuff.
