i was practising drawing stuff for the barbeque during my lunch break, so its on brown paper from a component box in biro. Eugh. Anyways, i did another good dragon today (IMHO) and left it pretty plain so i could work out dimensions and stuff. They're far from perfect but its onto the refinement stage.

Will attach pic soon, i promise.

OK here u go. I still think the nose is a little long but ill work on it.
The end is nigh!

Ozy - do like the dragon sketches. And even if you think they're not all that hot, trust me, I can screw up stick figures. Then again, if everyone could draw stick-figures, Lowry wouldn't have been a celebrated cityscapist.

Bendarr. Yeah, your cgi is nice. Refrained from coment earlier because I don't like to judge from metalic stuff, since it's hard to tell a good cgi-ist from an awsome cgi-ist with it. Clouds and organics and stuff are where the difference tends to show, and that pic... Lands you at low level awsome I think (hey, I've seen better clouds, but they're certainly not the lifeless clouds of a merely good cgi-ist). Nice planet, btw

Thanks for the input. I'll pay closer attention to my cloud work in the future. I always enjoy getting honest input. Especialy when it tells me where I did right and where I need to improve. I'm thinking about starting a thread in the anything board and posting a pic or two for you people to give input on my work. It'll help me to improve my technique.

The general idea behind the clouds was a attempt at a nebula. Here is one where I was able to get the starfield to work correctly but I had another problem. Mostly black spacecraft against a black background. How to solve it? My solution was that I made a sorta forcefield effect around the ship.

It's a cloud texture called Jetstream. basicly what I did was take the ship, duplicate it, enlarge it just a little and apply the Jetstream cloud texture instead of it's normal colors.

I still say you rock at planets. And with the first one, I actually thaught that it was from a moon orbitting a gas giant *shrugs*
