I like the idea of a water-fight FPS...

Or you could do a commander keen / old-school mario console game, where you control Ozy or Millie and you have to avoid a bunch of felicias and pick up water balloons or zen wisdom for points...

Ozy & Millie is all about Zen and child philosophy mixed with a diverse vocabulary. I can't see what fast paced action you can conjur from that.

a bunch of felicias? hmmm....

...make it felicia and her friends and it could work.

if it were a CCG, what would the point of it be?
one goal would be for each character to change the world to their liking. Llewellyn, for example, would try and make the world where people are civil and stuff. Millie would try to change it so that she ruled the earth.

OR the object of the game could be standard CCG where each player has life points or something.

each "character card" would have life/attack points. i dont mean attack and life literally (has anybody in the comic ever done anything potentially leathal?... be quiet millie!), attack would probably be changed to agravation and life would be changed to endurance... so i guess the point would be to annoy the enemy. it would be a lot easier to do that without cards, but...

btw, if i ever said i knew anything about CCG's, i was lying.

who has some card ideas? here are some of mine:

Scissors:
Item for millie. boosts annoyance factor by 30.
if ozy is in play, flip a coin. if tails, add 30 stress(damage) to him. if heads, deal no stress to ozy.

House Rules Parchisi:
only usable if a dragon or Ozy is in play. (they're the ones who know the rules). boosts random stats for all cards in play (belonging to user or not, i have yet to decide). Roll dice to find what stat is increased. limit one per deck.

Pillage!:
Draw two random cards from anywhere in your deck (no peeking!). If Millie is in play, return card to deck. If Captain Locke is in play, return card to hand.

S.S. Banana:
Base of operations card. If Capitain Locke is in play, this becomes a special 100/100 card when tapped for one turn. put back in deck and shuffle after this special ability is used. limit one per deck.

Ozy:
Personality card.
70/30 (endurance/annoyance)
(i havent thought of more stats than just the basics)

Millie:
Personality card.
30/70

Lewellyn's Horns:
Artifact card (i dont know the translation for artifact yet)
(unfortunately, i cant remember what these were gonna do )

note: as you might have guessed, numbers are just for demonstration purposes.

Okay, I can do this 'Kirby Superstar' thing you speak of, have a map and you walk Millie (with Ozy following behind) through to different areas to play the different games.
And there has to be a point to all this, like you get money or something so you can buy stuff.

Okay, that sounds good.
Now the mini games are a water/jello fight, maybe a trivia, I dunno about a platformer, I'm not too good at those, and a few more could do.

And then there's the matter of what you do with the money.
Maybe you could go to Lockie's world and play acrade games and get tickets so you can get other stuff, like eggs for the water/jello fight, and stuff like that.

Aren't I schmart?

Mini games, eh?

If there was a "shave Ozy" game, that'd be a scream.

if i had any drawing skill or something, i could make the card game pretty much by myself if i wanted... however, my drawing skills "totally suck turnips", so IF we want to make a CCG, im gonna need some help.

BSP, you could make up a bunch of mission plot lines or something. for example:

Destroy the "millie is a dork club".
Pillage the town with Capitan Locke.
your "Get enough money to buy something important" sounds good.
Save Isolde's conspiracy plot from becoming an utter failure.

however, i cannot think of any ultimate goals, just secondary side quests.

you could have turn based combat. i know ozy is a pacifist, but i also know he's not above water/jello balloons.

Mini Game: HOUSE RULES PARCHEESI!!! that would rule, if you could make it. unfortunately, that sounds like a serious challenge. you'd hafta get a WHOLE LOTTA INFO from Mr. Simpson.

i wish I could make video games... but i can't. i wish to learn someday though...

www.gamemaker.nl is where to start.

Destroy the "millie is a dork club". Is a good Idea.
Pillage the town with Capitan Locke. Perhaps...
Save Isolde's conspiracy plot from becoming an utter failure. I dunno, she's pretty capable herself. All Millie would do is make it a complete failure.
