Ha ha ha ha ha....I am spreading the mandolin....thanks for the compliments. As long as I make one more person interested in the instrument, I can sleep well at night.

Nope, not Irish, very American. I have a lot Celtic in my genetic make up, though. I do annoy my parents by constantly talking in Irish, British, German, Australian and just about any other accent all the time, so...I practice a lot.

Hehehe, the voice I use for Ozy is my complete normal voice. Im not crazy about my normal voice, which equals me not liking my Ozy impersonation...Im glad you like it, though! Hey, we need someone to step up and do Millies voice! Will no one take the challenge?!

Millie? Not I. I can't do falsetto (seriously, my vocal cords just give out when I do falsetto). We need an active female on the board.

Doctah Doog! Yo! Yo yo yo yo yo!! That's awesome!!! Your voice really is perfect for Millie! The only thing I might suggest is in the technical area, and not really the performance area...so, if you don't mind, I'm going to put on my "I'm so smart" hat and go off on a computer/recording rant for a moment.

1) The wavs are pretty low quality, and I assume that you've got it set to that level so they will be small in file size, right? Weellll, I've got a little trick up my sleeve. I currently use a very small and very free program called "RazorLame" to encode any wav on my system to MP3 and drastically reduce the file size. You can download it here. That way, you can save your wavs at a super-duper high quality, and then convert it to MP3 and it will be about one tenth the size it was as a wav. I swear, I don't go a day without using RazorLame at least once.

2) When you speak into the microphone, try to have it close to your mouth, but don't speak directly into it or else you'll get some popping sounds of your breath hitting the mic. It's a little awkward at first, but it really pays off to learn how to work the mic so it can "hear" you, but you don't breath into it. One way that I've heard a lot of people avoid doing that, is by having the mic placed to the side of their mouth so it's close enough to pick up their voice, but it doesn't have any breath hitting it...which means you can really go wild and emphasize your P's and U's and such.

Alas, the only help I think I could give with your actual characterization of Millie, would be to try and speak a little clearer and make sure you annunciate all of the syllables a bit more audibly. It almost sounds like youve got a cold. Im really bad at annunciating also, so I practice tongue-twisters a lot. It sounds like your voice is perfect for Millie just the way it is, so make sure that you dont do too much to it by changing the way you speak. Im not sure if you are or not, but I thought Id bring it up anyway, since I cant stress enough that the voice I pictured for Millie is just about spot on to the way yours sounds. Voice-acting is something that many people are horrible at, and I gotta say, you're not one of them. Keep it up, and post more soon!

BTW, the transfer limit should be okay now...no telling how long it will last, though.

Hmm, I imagined her voice being clear and high, but I see where you're coming from, J.A.M.

Oh boy. For some reason, the thought of Rain hearing these kinda makes my stomach squirm. I don't know why... I hope he doesn't think I'm ruining his characters.

EDIT: oh yeah, I found something out. Try as I might, I can't do Avery worth a crud, so...can anyone else?

EDIT EDIT: OH! Oh!! I really, really want to find someone who can make good flash cartoons! Maybe with the help of DCS we could transfer a few of the comic strips into web cartoons? Maybe? I'd love to do that, but I don't know how realistic it would be.

The similarities between Millie and Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes has led me to somehow giving her the same voice I give him. I just realized it now...
Anami: Sex with a giant, black scorpion seems fun.

<SteveThePocket> Geez. I want more of this stuff now. Now I know how a horny guy on an imageboard feels.
