No, no. He's checking the road behind him briefly to make sure it is okay for him to pass a vehicle just ahead of him.

No, no, there's a hairpin turn immediately ahead and he's checking the other side to see there's no cars coming so he can make a tyre screeching fluid swerve and speed on down.
