...coded a day late, I guess.

Aren't fireworks illegal in most states?

It's legal in mine, in fact I could set off fireworks in my driveway if I wanted to.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

I felt more obligated to note various holidays in the strip then than I do now.
That which does not kill me, cripples me for life.

And Britain has Guy Fawkes day, celebrated in a similar manner.

Laws with fireworks vary by state, I think. In my state, it is legal to use any that shoot sparks: ("fountains", etc.), but illegal to use anything that is shot into the air before exploding. (Without a permit, that is.)
Scurry, scurry, Scurryous! You might just be the murriest. You certainly are the furriest! Hurry! Scurry! Scurryous!

That's why I ask. My state can sell and allows the firing of most types of fireworks, I believe, but the next state over doesn't allow for the sale and purchase of fireworks, so we have 'fireworks superstores' that people can go to for all their pyrotechnic needs.

Either way I'm pretty sure you aren't allowed to sell them to little children, and it's a horrible horrible idea to let them go unsupervised.

(I wonder if Ozy's comment is related to the explosions, or to the very real possibility of very killing himself...)

What are you, some PC nanny? Let them have a go and blow themselves up if they do. How else are they going to learn?
