And if DCS hadn't injected so much political material he might have gotten O&M into the newspapers after all.

I don't get it, but for some reason I still find it funny.

The joke is that the name was in the news so much it got tiresome. Like the news story about the Obamas adopting a dog went from cute to annoying because it got overpublicized.

Did he put the political strips in his samples to the syndicate? I remember reading something back when the Words part of the site was still extant that he only sent ones he thought they'd approve. I might just be mistaken though.

It's not even a good joke about Clinton.

It should be a swallow take.

Thank god I wasn't drinking anything, I would have done a spit-take at this. Nice.

Wow really?

I only found out about their dog last week by coincidence when I was reading about Japanese bo staves on wikipedia and clicked on "For other uses, see Bo.", which their dog happened to be under.

That might be inappropriate for some younger readers. Parents would complain.

I think that is one of those jokes that is only inappropriate for readers who wouldn't get it anyway.

I actually did a real-life spit-take once. In a movie theater. Somebody was sitting in front of me. Beyond that, its a bit too embarrassing to go into.
Yes, yes, the stupid scandal everybody was sick to death of hearing about.
That which does not kill me, cripples me for life.
