In my elementary school the 5th graders had lockers, although I hear they took them out after my elementary school days were finished

we always had lockers. we only kept our coats and lunches in them and they never had locks on, but we had them damnit

I had lockers through all of elementary school, albeit sans locks. Both of the elementary schools I went to were in older buildings that had originally been high schools.

I don't think any kid wants to touch anothers underwear in any place in the real world.
