I don't know the first thing about what Ozy's saying (I get the feeling that it isn't accurate, though), but the visual is cute: Millie's trying to play a guitar that's far too large for her. I don't know why, but Ozy seems to know that this is a bit of a silly idea, and it doesn't seem to be working out too well for Millie.

But, I might just be remembering my middle school band class, when I volunteered for the bass and the first ones we had were about two feet taller than we were. Kind of awesome that first day, until we managed to fish out the slightly smaller, more appropriately-sized ones.

Actually, I interpret this comic this way: Millie is playing the electric guitar so terribly and/or can't even reach the strings that Ozy says her practicing with an acoustic couldn't even help her improve. (Implies Millie asked if playing an acoustic would help her improve before the strip starts.)

(Fingerings on acoustics are actually more difficult due to the higher string tension. It requires more finger strength to play a chord on an acoustic than it does on an electric. It is also takes more skill to get a clean sound. I think many popular lead guitar players who play electrics in concert have used practicing on acoustics to help improve their skills.)
Scurry, scurry, Scurryous! You might just be the murriest. You certainly are the furriest! Hurry! Scurry! Scurryous!

The headstock suggests that, but the body isn't pointy enough and only has one pickup, the pickguard is in the totally wrong location, along with a whammy bar which has never been standard on SGs. I say it's a Jaguar.

Fair enough, fair enough, although looking at the body shape, it looks too symmetrical to be a Jaguar to me, and the two points at the top of the body are pretty much level in height, unlike a Jaguar.

I'm thinking DCS may have just drawn a generic guitar, not a specific model. :P

Edit: Oh, and it also looks like a humbucker pickup. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Jaguars come with single coil pickups? /guitar nerd

My own first attempts at playing the guitar were frustrated by my having small fingers. Well, that, and a short attention span. I sort of outgrew both, later.
That which does not kill me, cripples me for life.
