this one was always kind of cute and original;
Ozy looks exceptionally short, which is really cute
Pogo reference on the wall. Maybe now that we're pretending it's like old times, Jacob will use his old pogo avatar again?
Also, that's an odd looking wireless phone.

The Jeremy who is nice enough to respect/leave alone someone who helped him sure was short lived. Although, I think that's the next strip.

Haha, look at how short he is. No wonder he gets beaten up.

Wireless telephones looked like that back in 1998, not like the dinky things we have nowadays.
I could have sworn that DCS had said that in his own childhood, the real-life Jeremy did stop bullying him after DCS helped him with his homework.

I remember the retractable antennas, but I don't remember ever having or seeing a land-line phone where the handset folded out O_o cellphones, sure.

It doesn't fold out; that's how it sits in the cradle. You kind of had to slide them into the cradle and they sat awkwardly because of the way they were designed.
I really like this strip. It's cute and it's clever.

Back before the strips with commentary were removed to make room for no strips with commentary the commentary for this one did say this event was based on reality and Jeremy in real life did stop beating him up.

I could transcribe the commentary out of the first few books.

That would be cool, I love commentary.
Re: Wednesday, August 5, 1998: Favors for the cruel
I could write the commentary here from memory and make up 90% of it if you want?
