Dumbest O&M strip ever.

Not including the last 3 months of strips which all sucked.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

Ozy said know thyself but Avery, who is constantly wrapped up in the trappings of materialism responded with what he was wearing rather than about himself. Ozy then sarcasts at him. Its sort of clever not as funny.

That's what I got out of it too. That said, it's still dumb.

Yeah, that's what I walked away with, but I was sincerely hoping that I was just missing something. Apparently not.

I enjoy Avery's early stupidity. Yes, the strip is dumb, but...it's the good kind of dumb.

I don't think it's dumb.

The premise itself is more dumb than the punchline.

I mean a kid reading from a book and then proclaiming, "'Know thyself!' Socrates said that."
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

let's try to remember and revisit this AFTER ozy gets the book of wisdom from his dad.

which reminds me: Llewellyn hasn't even been introduced yet! let's speed the comics back up to more than one a day again.
