I still haven't been able to beat hard yet (I usually get down to the part where you have to guess which square is a mine)

but I did get this one time while playing minesweeper:

I always knew Minesweeper was the work of Hitler.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

Minesweeper was actually made as a reference to some of the war crimes committed by the Nazis. When abandoning a town to the Allied powers they would hide mines under corpses so that when people came around to bury them they'd get exploded. Hence, in minesweeper you click squares while sifting through the ruins of a town subjected to two battling armies and try to give proper burials to the poor bastards who didn't make it. Sadly, with WWII tech you only have an approximate idea of where the mines are and many, many American, British, French, and probably Canadian minesweepers became maimed or even killed. It was a grim time and it is with the greatest respect that the game was made. Except for that little face at the top. That guy is a dick.
That which does not kill me, cripples me for life.
