Post in this thread and I'll give you a nick-name.

Hyperion is now Riga.
Be aware that I will respond to that as much as I respond to "Chief" in real life, not at all.
You will change your last name to Toni.
*Doesn't get the joke/reference.*

you're just giving random made-up words with no significance to us. here's a properly made nickname:

my father's late best friend was once working out in a boatyard, and he was young and cocky and was calling the foreman "bossman" because he had just started out. Then a few days passed and something fell on him so he was shouting out "bossman! bossman!" to get help and then he told his friends and they were like "lol, no YOU'RE the boss-man!" and so they called him bossman or boss for short.

My friend's name is Alex. When he was in middle school he was all "T_T Andrew I'm a loser I should change my name but actually just how you spell it. That's what Zakk Wylde did! from now on I'm Alekzander [name name]." and then after he realized it was stupid, I continued to reference it. The Alex turned to Zander, turned to Zandie, to Zand, to simply "Z", and then was appended with "-dog" thus making his nickname "Zedog" or simply "the dog".

You can't just make up random words like we're back in elementary school

there is absolutely nothing I can imagine to bring about my nickname, unless you for some reason decided to base it off of my chinese zodiac.

Trust me there is a significant meaning to each of the names I am giving you. You just have to believe me.

Yes I do but in order for it to work I really need to know the person. Of course I thought that I could get a few laughs out of this and I did (amazing) but yeah. Well since you all know what my nicknames mean, I guess there no point in continueing this. Here's to a good laugh.

there is one case in which you can give someone a random nickname, but it isn't applicable on the internet. That is if you are either mock-forgetting, or simply forgetting a persons name, either from just meeting them or just being an asshole, and simply call them someone else. It can also work if you keep changing the name. bonus points if they're a foreigner and don't speak perfect english, and you call them names typical of their race (extra bonus points if they're names from a nation other than their own. eg: calling a korean person japanese names)

Well I guess I should tell you what they mean.

Hyperions is actually mixed. It supposed to Igra which is some language for Game. I picked it because Hyperion is mostly in the Game Section of this forum.

Nick's is some language for spoons.

D-puff's is again mixed. It's supposed to be Kora which is another language for Drive but what I meant is like Pin Drives.

Maxfox's doens't mean anything. It's just a name I thought sounded cool

Dr. Stick's means twigs or sticks

Muffin's is mixed for nama which is some language for Muffin.

Ibun's first one and second one both mean bun. He should be thankful because I was about to put troll in some languae but I'm not mean.

I am kind of ticked at Hyperion for exposing the secret and not playing along, but I guess someone was going to find out anyway.

That's it. This thread is dead.

if he hadn't explained it, there just would have been more people telling how dumb the nicknames were, except you wouldn't have the benefit of them actually being words
