I once met a ghost.
He said "boo"
I thought Casper was friendly. ):
What he actually said was "boobs", and yes he did plan to be quite friendly UNTIL YOU MACED HIM

So we've covered for-

Photos: provided examples could be smudges in the first, and as Roo said, double-exposure in the second. Though the second also looks like it might just have weird spots from the exposure, meaning the person making it had no idea what they were doing.

For video: lol editing softwarez.

For that hill: Gravity-hill. I've been to a place similar, but rather than a road it was a whole area on a mountain in South Dakota where the trees were all bent in odd directions, the structures built were oddly sloped, etc.

So yeah, just about everything that's "proof", so to speak, is pretty well bogus. The only experiences that count are personal ones, and if you haven't seen it for yourself, you can't count it as true anyway.

I think that was a decent sum-up of the thread.

Not scare anyone but I heard that there could actually be ghosts in computer monitors.
That sounds like a seriously befuddled misinterpretation of the effect called "screen ghosting", which may cause ghostly images to flash, or be permanently imprinted on the screen. It has several ways it can show up but certainly nothing paranormal.

this is also known as screen "burn-in", and is very common with plasma TVs, CRT TVs, and various DLP and such projector TVs.

Haha, ghosting has nothing to do with ghosts. It's more like a leftover image that appears for a short while. It's a display lag thing.

E] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghosting_(television) apparently neither of our definitions are right. But they have nothing to do with ghosts in the traditional sense anyway.

E2] Oh, I forgot, Segovia doesn't believe in Wikipedia. Um.... There are no ghosts in monitors. Take it on the faith that you take this "proof" on, but not on the faith you don't give Wikipedia.

Oh wow, irony.

Accourding to the video, skeptics are just as quilty as believers for not taking into consideration that the phenomenon could be real.
Horse poop. A skeptic is someone who is only convinced by evidence, not a nay-sayer.
Um, no, they're not. Are you actually thinking when you post?
*snort* I find myself wondering the same thing...not in your direction. Just sayin'.

There should be a "don't care" option.

There should be a "don't care" option.
And an "I like cheese" option...and a "Zanzibar" option.

At the very least a "rutabegas are cool" option.

I think you're only hearing what you want to hear.
Which is perhaps the root cause of the whole ghost thing.

Also, Trance, that was an excellent video.

If I think when I post two things will happen. 1) My post will be long and 2) You would like less of me. For all your sakes I don't put much thought into posting.

Well give it a try sometime. Thinking is not nearly as bad for discussion as you expect.
