I am not surprised that not to many people believe in ghosts.
Its because of the lack of legit evidence. Pictures, videos, et cetera are barely proof with how many editing tools they have for it all, and that seems to be the only thing people have to show. Its the same thing with aliens, loch ness (though nobody cares about that anymore), bigfoot, and so on.
then why do theists also not believe in ghosts?

I believe in ghosts due to personal experience. I have to say though, there is very little real proof out there and I think people who have not experienced the paranormal themselves would be skeptical (as I myself was)...all the "proof" in this thread is bogus.

I think that one way to believe in ghosts is to believe in souls because that's basically what a ghost is.

that wasn't what I asked. I asked, why do people that believe in god NOT believe in ghosts? they don't believe in ghosts because there is NO proof that they exist. But, there is also NO proof that god exists. therefore: why do they believe god exists but not ghosts?

Ok. Rocketgirl you got to stop this. I for once never said that ghost truly exist. If there were stone cold proof then we wouldn't be using the term "believe." Either you don't or you do that's it.

I was referring to the anime, not the actual term.

I for one have, experienced ghosts before.
You don't have to tell me twice Dr. Dos. They say that the alamo is haunted, there's this hotel that's haunted. Hell, my whole city is haunted!
Ok here some proof.
...so, you wanna run that whole, "I never said ghosts exist," thing by us again? :-P Maybe you were using imprecise language, but how can you mean what you say if you don't say what you mean?
