You're all thinking too linear. A decade is an imposed construct insufficient to explain the complexities occuring in a pre-determined area and set of people.

Furthermore, after definition and gradual acceptance any such "decade" is reenacted and revisited, talked about and explored seemingly endlessly - making them, in effect, timeless.
