Finally I have time to scan my agenda.

Here are some early O&M doodles.

Keep in mind this was back when I couldn't draw O&M that well.

Millie seems confused. When Hamlet holds a skull, he does the Yorick speech, not the contemplation of suicide. Kinda looks like she might try to stab herself with the duck.

I don't see how that would work.

I wonder if a lot of people get that mixed up. I know I've seen that combination before. (Hmmm... could be a "play it again, Sam" moment.)

I don't even know what the Yorick speech was (because I've never read or seen Hamlet :(), but I do know that I've seen the suicidal bit the actor holding a skull a lot.

I agree with Dr. Sticks. I also didn't read or seen Hamlet but I am familiar with the seen with the skull and that famous line. The line doens't mean anything in that doodle. I just thought that it would be fun to show Millie with Ernest saying that line.

Technically the skull does only appear in the Yorick sequence in the original play, but thanks to MAINSTREAM MEDIA it's often associated with the suicidal speech.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

Alas, poor Yorick!
If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. (Revelation 2:5, NIV)
Josh Woodward, Ohio Singer/Songwriter, offers his songs for free. Give him a listen.
