I believe that the way people feel about this comic has to do with how they interpret the final panel. I see four possible interpretations:
1) "This has happened to me in the past, but it is over now."
2) "I wish this would happen to me, but the girl in question doesn't exist."
3) "I wish this would happen to me, but the girl in question is unavailable."
4) "This is happening to me right now, and I want out of the relationship."
I am guessing that #2 is the author's intent. Thoughts? How do you interpret it?

For me its more like "I like this guy (girl), and he exists, but he's on the internet, so even if we do hook up online none of that stuff will likely happen anyway."
That's from a personal level though. D:

To me it is more like #3. Again, a personal thing.
More objectively, I think #1 and #4 are both unlikely to be the intent of the author and anyone's primary interpretation of it, especially #1.
EDIT: I stand thoroughly corrected by Mr. Ibun.

Wut? I was saying it was #1 as it related to me.To me it is more like #3. Again, a personal thing.

That's pretty much exactly what I meant by "unavailable", and is pretty much exactly how I interpret it, again from a personal level. Well okay then. *hugs*Wut? I was saying it was #1 as it related to me.
To me #2 means different - probably 'uninterested' would be less ambiguous. What a huge great sob-fest this thread is turning out to be.
