I guess we Mormons have Lent all year 'round, then.
Explain, please?
Yah, what Oni Lukos said--we don't drink alchohol, coffee, or tea (and no sex, either, duh.)

I got no vices left to swear off for Lent. :-P

Cameron is awesome because:
-Because he has an artistic style that is both complex and minimalist. This is profound!
-He once drew me as a roadrunner. It was an actual honest to god feral roadrunner, but a roadrunner nonetheless!
-He lives in Idaho among the wilderness and stuff and I envy him for that. 3:
-He is probably one of the most personable artists on here.
-I think he's the only one of us on here who drew a fanart that made it as a guest strip on O&M. This is an accomplishment!

Meh, the past couple of years I've been easy on myself and gave up the cafeteria cookies (I swear they put crack in them to keep you addicted), but now that they suck horribly this year, I've got no clue what to do. Perhaps I could give up "that's what she said" jokes... >_>

I was until recently undeicded, but for Lent I think I'm going to give up swearing. And for me, that's not going to be easy.

I'll give up eating coconut, which will be easy, since I hate coconut and don't eat it anyway.

I'm giving up abstinence.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

I'm not giving up anything. Lent BTW is originally the word langa-tinaz, literally meaning 'long day' because it is when days become longer again.

Dante Alighieri (the writer of "Devine Comedy") said that the Croats are the most faitful people in the world.
But then again that was in the 15. century and todays, at least most of todays Croats are how to say paper catholics, that is people who are registrated as catholics but are not.
The only ones who are now on Lent are thoes who were born before WW1 and thoes religious fanatics + normal people who do belive in god.

I've already given up fatty foods for my New Year's resolution (lose a few pounds without the help of Richard Simmons). Never smoked, rarely done drugs, don't intend to give up on alcohol or sex any time soon...

Haven't really ever giving up anything for Lent myself. I spent a good bit of my childhood in a Southern Baptist congregation and they never put much emphasis on Lent. Since 1992 I've been part of a United Methodist congregation and they do observe Lent. Basically what always happens with me is that I spend the whole Lent season trying to come up with something to give up
Religious types, this is Reality speaking: time to wake up.
Ok...you're an aethiest. We get it. I for one respect your beliefs...or more appropriately the lack there of but show some mutual respect. There are people here who do have strong ties to an organized religion whatever it may be, myself included and I can assure you, you're not going to convert everyone of us. In short, respect are views as you'd want yours to be. Simple as that.

I believe that not discussing religion on the internet is awesome.

That's my belief.
