It seems Ozy, Millie, and Jeremy were the only ones present. We know that Ozy would tell the truth but from an outside perspective he would have a lot of reason to be biased. Millie is his friend and Jeremy doesn't get along with him.
...However good a point this is, you're forgetting one thing: Jeremy. If you were in his shoes, what would you do - say you got attacked by a girl half your size, or say you at least roughed her up a bit? Bullies tend to have a rather large ego about these kinds of things =P
She hit him on the arm. He can always brush it off by saying she hit like a girl. Even he has got to be aware that revealing that he had been tormenting her previously won't go over well with the school.

You can tell DCS hasn't been drawing enough IDT
Not drawing enough Integrated Drive Technologies? I agree.

Wait, what?

Has anyone here ever considered a political career? Most people in this thread have an uncanny ability to severely overanalyze simple things.

You should've seen what happened here about a month ago.
gforce422 is awesome because:
-He made the absolute nicest comments about me in the other topic. I didn't respond to them yet, because I suck, but they are greatly appreciated! =D
-I would say he would also be a good runner up as one of the nicest people alive.
-He joined the IRC sometimes. But not enough, I say! Chat moar =D
-He is evidently only 18 year old but he could easily pass for 25. =D
-He is a drummer like *I* am and this in itself is cool.

I have far too little tact and patience for politics.

I'm actually the mayor of Crossroads, Nevada. Gives me quite a bit of freetime.

If DCS wanted to make this point he really should have set it up better. Mrs. Sorkowitz is acting extremely fair by not assuming more then she saw. Mrs. Mudd is basically asking for special treatment for her daughter. Mrs. Mudd wants Mrs. Sorkwitz to assume she knew what happened but only in a way that helps Millie.

Nah, that's just Ms. Mudd's lawyer instinct kicking in - she makes a living looking at evidence, and when someone so directly able to affect her daughter *doesn't* look at evidence, delibaratly, that kinda sets off a red flag with her. :-P

I can completely understand what some of you are saying. Ms Sorkowitz can't punish something she can't see. End of story.

But I have to say, again, if this ends in
Ozy: Well I guess we should learn a lesson from this
Millie: I'd rather watch TV

or anything of the sort without some kind of resolve, I will be very disappointed. I don't want to read a comic that puts one of the main characters in tears by a bully just for story purposes.

Anyone else feel that Ms. Sorkowitz is being character assassinated in the name of really, really, really, really hammering a point home?

I quite like her as the long-suffering but infinitely patient teacher. Now she's a* mouthpiece character for "Life's not fair"

* +nother
I agree here. I know characters must change over time, but this was rather abrupt and is bound to lose readers' sympathy.

Honestly at this point your constant repetition of "you all are analyzing things" is getting to be more annoying than DCS's use of the "life's not fair" lesson we're overanalyzing. The point of this section of the forum is to discuss the strips. That's what we're doing. Would you rather have 50 posts of "great job DCS!" for every single thread made in here? At least it gives people something to talk about.

But she looked at the evidence. She is an eye witness to one person hitting another. Thats pretty much all the impartial evidence present. She could ask the kids what happened but its Ozy and Millie's word against Jeremy's.
