I sure hope she's following the rules the way she should. I thought I detected some sarcasm in those "I can only punish offenses I actually see occur." statements she made, though.

She probably is being sarcastic. In a "Look, I don't like this any more than you do, but I have to follow the rules by the book" sort of way. And she can't actually say that in so many words because she'd risk being accused of taking sides. Or something.

I haven't been too disappointed with this story. But I swear, if D.C. copypastas Mr. Vine's insipid speech about Jeremy being the good guy one more time...

Actually, in the run of this comic Ms. Sorkowitz has yet to show any impartiality to speak of, that I can see. If you take any character description from the cast page, and compare it to any given instance of that character's behavior, all but Sorkowitz's descriptions are accurate. On her, the writer is lying through his teeth; I have yet to see an instance where she DIDN'T side with the bullies. She's essentially Beau Vine Lite: similar attitude, just less obnoxious about it.

The most damning evidence of the above prior to this story arc is this strip and its followup, where Sorkowitz literally blows off Ms. Mudd's and Llewellyn's concerns.

I really don't think those strips are "canon" considering in both of them she is a...cat? I can't tell, something feline though.

Isn't this all a bit cliché for Ozy and Millie? I found the breaking point strip really quite emotive, the aftermath I just find irritating. If I were them I would have walked out of school and gone home or sat somewhere scenic.

I feel the same way. The Breaking point strip was pretty powerful, and I thought that DCS could have gone places with it. Nope, right back to "Lol, bullying is bad and the victims never win!"

I think we all have to admit that the entire comic is just DCS trying to work through his bullying and authority issues with a little bit of his shaving fetish thrown in for kicks.

It annoys me when people complain about "cliched" or "overused" jokes. If you do a comic strip for any length of time, sooner or later you have no choice but to repeat yourself. There simply aren't enough jokes in the universe to come out with a new one every single time.

That is true, but I don't want O&M turning into Garfield. I know, I know, it's hyperbole, but you get my point.

OK, I know that was a joke, but DC just may swoop in from outta nowhere and use a flamethrower on you until your nice and crispy for that remark.

He draws animal characters losing their hair (usually from shaving) in this comic, in guest comics for other strips,and on his Deviant Art page. It isn't that funny of a gag to warrent so much attention. I believe he even drew a picture of some dog he is making a comic book about shaving herself which barely even had a joke. It is beyond a running joke and has made its way into creepy territory.
