Temperature tolerence thread

So I'm curious. From about 65-80F (18-27C) I can sustain comfort in a T-shirt and jeans. Anything lower and I still feel ok (But my hands get all dry and bleedy) and anything higher I begin feeling uncomfortable. 90F+ (32C) is where it becomes suffering for long periods of time, 105F+ (40.5C) is instantly miserable.

55 (13) or below and I'll take a thin jacket outside. Never really been in places lower than 30F (-1)for long. I break out the heavy coat when there's any wind and it's below 60 (16) D:

Being where I am, I find it comfortable outside (at least for a while) in a t-shirt and jeans, but more comfortable with a hoodie on. It's 53 F out presently, which is warmer than it was before. It was 44 F out earlier and I was fine in it. I'm good in a t-shirt and jeans right now (window's open). If it's below 40 F, I'll want a light jacket/hoodie/sweatshirt. If it's below 20-25 F, I will want one of my winter coats, generally my pleather one (less warm of the two), and if it's below about 5 F, I'll head for my Land's End winter coat, which is good to about -10 F without layers or something like that.

If the temp is above 70 F, I will be in t-shirt and shorts, as I can wear pants comfortably up to about 65-70 F. anything hotter and I'll either want to be inside, or have a drink with me.

living in NY is weird, as I get acclimated to different temps throughout the year. it was in low single digits in Farenheit on last thursday and friday. It was COLD. However, it warmed up to presently 53 F, and I am wearing jeans and a t-shirt. it feels warm out. this would be cold during late spring, summer or early autumn.

I generally feel most comfortable between 15 and 25 degrees, any lower and it's still bearable but harsher, and once it goes below 10 it starts getting coldish. Above 25 starts to get annoyingly warm, and above 30 it just gets unbearable. 35+ is basically 'swim in bed from sweating' kind of weather, not fun.

For me, anything above 50 (and sunny) is tolerable, though the hotter the better. Even 100+ degrees I find tolerable (and I live on the East Coast, which has a LOT of humidity). I hate cold.

that's the beauty of having an air conditioner =D

and Ty, I know how bad it is with the humidity. that's really the bad part. I went out west last summer and it was hot, but it was dry heat out in Colorado, so it was nice. It was generally pretty good in South Dakota though.

Depends on the season for me.

Our summers and winters have drastically different temperatures.

TEMPERATURES ALL IN CELSIUS

After the warmth of summer, anything less than +20 degrees and I need a jacket.

In March, after winter's freeze, I'll be wearing a T-shirt while ice-fishing in +5.

Generally though, anything above 25 and I start to get uncomfortable, especially when inside. When it passes 38, I basically stop moving.

I like cold temperatures in winter though, anything below -20 is fun, but generally requires large amounts of clothing. -40 can kill you in minutes.

18 is the perfect temperature for running, and most things outside, imo. 10 degrees and lower is when shirts become required. I don't know much about hot temperatures but I know it was 34 some time last summer and it was TOO DAMN HOT. What I do know about hot is I prefer too cold to too hot.

during the summer, anything lower than +18 gets me in a jacket. anything over +28 is awefull.

during the winter, anything below -15 i dont really want to be outdoors working (play is fine to about -25), but it was only about -1 today, but the sun was warm, so i was working in my T-shirt.

granted, i had a toque and lined leather gloves on, which makes a HUGE difference.

I'm comfortable if the temperature is around 18'C to 26'C. At 27'C up to 33'C is bearable for me but after 1 or 3 hours, I turn on my Aircon and enjoy the wonderful cold breeze and lock my self in. Anything below 17'C is too cold for me and Above 33'C will get me heatstroked.

I'm in a T-shirt at 10, shorts at 20. And I only need a jacket when the temperature drops below 5. Once it drops below -5, I start to feel a bit uncomfortable, but can bundle up until -15. Below that has never been tested.

(And, like most of the world, I use Celsius.)

My skin is warm-to-the-touch at all times.

I am comfortable at temperatures which most people would consider "too low", and can tolerate temperatures which most people would consider "intolerably low". I wear a winter jacket only when it's below freezing, but when I go for a cigarette break the jacket only comes with me if the temperature is in the single digits (Fahrenheit). I wear full-out summer clothing at 70 and above. If it breaks 100, I find it difficult to function.

Despite me living in a TROPICAL CLIMATE, I can easily just wear a t shirt and jeans until it goes below 40 F (4.5 C). Anything below that I am comfortable in a jacket and jeans... though I've never really experienced anything lower than 20 F (-7 C).

But because I DO live in a tropical climate I can handle heat very well too. The heat index breaks 100 F (38 C) almost every day in the July and August months, due to Houston's incredible humidity mixed with its more continental heat. That said, I can still feel comfortable in (speaking in terms of heat index now - in a place as humid as Houston actual temperature is irrelevant) 95 F (35 C), in that I can still go for a run past that. After that I can't run anymore, but I can still go outside without being too bad off. When it gets to 104 F (40 C), though, problems start to arise.

It is almost as though Tai made this thread for me.

I use Celsius AND Fahrenheit because I'm more WORLDLY than any of you.

My skin is warm-to-the-touch at all times.

My hands and feet (lesser extent, lol sock/shoe insulation) get really really cold and dry and bleedy even while the rest of me is warm :(

I'm generally temperature intollerant, turning blue when its cold (as in my lips do go blue if I'm out in freezing weather for long periods) to beetroot red when its hot ... I'm not Polar Explorer or Death Valley Tour Guide material
