What horrible news to be greeted with when I looked on the front page of my local paper. I'll spare y'all must of the details but basically this group of 4 supposed adults decided that while they were well intoxicated, they would go for a little ride in their old Ford Bronco on a dirt road. Oh but what about our two young children, a 2 and 4 year old? Oh...let's just take them along for the ride. I mean what's the worse that could happen?
Well needless to say things didn't end well. They ended up slamming into a tree at 70 m.p.h. and bursting into flames. Surprisingly 2 survived. Unfortunately it wasn't the two children. You know I've gotten accustomed to the extreme stupidity that one can face on a daily basis in this world. It just galls me that these supposed to be responsible adults would involve their youngins in such reckless manner. Just sickening. I'm sorry bout that. I promise I won't make a habit of ranting like this but I just had to say my piece on such an act.

No doubt it will. I couldn't imagine living with the fact that my actions or inactions led to two young innocent lives lost. I really don't want to come across as being hateful towards these folks. It's hard not to be but I have to realize that they'll get their punishment and I hope and pray that others will learn from this that alcohol and vehicles do not mix PERIOD. Be safe y'all into the new year.Hopefully the grief ruins their lives.

What gets on my nerves is that more people die drinking and driving every year then in the whole Vietnam war. Yet more people are whining about the Solders in Iraq than about drinking and driving. I can see wanting to get out, and we should get out as soon as we can, but the government needs to get the people support and train at the least a few solders and police man than can protect the citizen there.

I agree. It is important to get out, but not leave them unprepared to handle the situation alone. What gets on my nerves is that more people die drinking and driving every year then in the whole Vietnam war. And drunk driving really cheeses me off, too.
Now I'm hungry. Mmm, cheese... OMG I don't have any cheese! Best find something... Hmm, this yogurt's only been expired for a month... *sniff sniff* Close enough to cheese for me...

I'm hoping that the multiplicity of celebrities arrested for drunk driving lately will lead to some kind of further measures to prevent the practice.
