Tai's "Not another e/n tl;dr fanboifiction" !

Well I promised a few to post this first "chapter" even though I'm probably going to add a lot more (like make the first parts not so tl;dr while conveying Timur is tl;dr) and fix up a lot of inconsistencies. This one is supposed to be SOMEWHAT realistic. If you don't notice anything, that's fine too :)

I challenge everyone to make poast in here saying at least why it was unreadable this time :@

(ugh I have work to do on this but I promised T_T )

1: The Last of the Peace

“Well, it began with the dissenters. After so many of their lesser attacks managed to hit us, we defied the crumbling decision to stay out of the foreign aspect of the attacks and practically begin the war over. Thousands of troops, missiles, aircraft, and other materiél were sent overseas to eradicate the 'small and insignificant' threats there. However, one military installation, Seaway, was particularly lax in security, and a surprise attack quickly left it stripped of weapons. Their top prize was two uranium fuel cores, mistakenly sent to the lax security base by clerks with little respect for duty due to the long peacetime. In fact, peacetime had eroded most of the country’s belief that there was a true threat out there to us. Outrage at Seaway's folly sparked conflict throughout the world, and dirty bombs were commonplace. However, though the wonders of the Internet, the entirety of one refined core was made into three thermonuclear weapons, and delivered to other foreign capitals with devastating results.

“In retaliation, barrages of cruise missiles were fired covertly from us to their known terrorist camps. The rockets managed to hit all their targets, but a few camps were liberated by union forces and occupied as a staging point to further hunt down terrorists. The collateral damages caused mostly casualties on our side, and an ambassador was dispatched to one foreign country as covertly as the cruise missiles to negotiate a cease-fire. The surviving terrorist cells in that country planned a massive attack, setting off dozens of large homemade bombs. A few well-placed bombs managed to kill the ambassador and a handful of high-ranking officers. In the span of a month, the world was back at a cold war on a global scale, other countries blaming us for the lost weaponry that killed our own, and the our leaders ranting about them not providing enough security and the casualties from the cruise missiles. All negotiations failed, and events finally escalated to a full nuclear war...

“Not a year after the first nuclear warheads detonated, the fallout that was carried around the world wasn’t entirely radioactive. Most countries then loudly objected to the war, and both major sides had the armament and tempers to quickly neutralize the offending members, obliterating most former governments. An anarchistic air filled the radioactive air as old governments were vaporized, piece by piece, until organized crimes was the norm. A new organization, the Smilax, managed to acquire many tons of supplies such as seed and cattle unaffected from radiation, weaponry, and other items, and had considerable standing in world power. Hundreds of smaller groups managed the same thing with varying degrees of success. Smilax had the beginnings of a grand army, and welcomed and supported smaller groups in many ways due to a veritable treasure trove of supplies from various skirmishes. However, the generosity of the Smilax was not destined to last. One of the 'larger' smaller groups allied with the Smilax was the Ral'tortal; mostly comprised of the former terrorists. Collectively, they coordinated an attack with a few other independent camps to take the hoard of supplies by means of massive infiltration. With little battle tactics and an inept commander at Smilax, both sides expended massive stores of missiles, collectively draining the reserves from the former countries' stockpiles of rocket weapons. The frenetic old-world strategists managed to take out all major missile factories, so all that remained were tanks, aircraft, and a many presses for the ammunition they used. Tanks were easiest to use, since there were diesel storage tanks everywhere, as opposed to the rarity of jet fuel dumps after the war, or at least dumps that had any fuel left.

“Both factions suffered large losses in stores of ammo, food, and a capable defense, and were overtaken by the many ravenous groups starving for supplies. Not three years after Smilax had been established, it had fell, just like every ‘great, indestructible’ nations fall. The flaw of ethnocentricity and chauvinism killed ancient empires and Smilax alike. Life was hard, very hard for the remnant of the large groups -â€
