I don't get the allure of Second Life. It's an MMORPG where you don't have any super powers, don't get to kill any monsters, and need to pay money to own land. :?:

I prefer my first life.
It's more exciting.

If I wanted to live a second life I'd play Animal Crossing. Which I do. On and off.
That which does not kill me, cripples me for life.

QFT. :)
gforce422 is awesome because:
-He made the absolute nicest comments about me in the other topic. I didn't respond to them yet, because I suck, but they are greatly appreciated! =D
-I would say he would also be a good runner up as one of the nicest people alive.
-He joined the IRC sometimes. But not enough, I say! Chat moar =D
-He is evidently only 18 year old but he could easily pass for 25. =D
-He is a drummer like *I* am and this in itself is cool.

I love SL, gives me a place to meet people, build stuff and make money. I average around $50/month, not much but just icing on the cake.

My first life consists of selling cel phones at Wal-Mart and fighting in court to get custody of my son away from his abusive mother. Sometimes it's nice to slip away into a second life for an hour or two, keeps the blues away for a little while at least.

Its kind of a shame how hard it can be to keep kids away from abusive parents. I see it in my work where you have a family where all the kids end up in group homes and with problems, but they still end up at home eventually.

Very hard when it's the father trying to get custody since the courts and CPS always seem to think that mothers can do no wrong.
