Probably the greatest women's wrestler of all-time, from a time when wrestling wasn't as flashy as it is today, passed away Friday night at the age of 84. She set a record that will never be broken by any athlete, male or female. She was champion for an unbelievable 28 years. Most athletes don't even last that long in their sport, let alone hold a championship.

I've never heard of her.
Oh well... that's a bit sad.

Whoa, didn't see that coming. Honestly I'm surprised she lived that long. Even for the ladies who don't have to do the more 'extreme' stuff, wrestling takes years off of your life (Trust me on that one. Guys in the sport'll be lucky to live past 50). Getting to 84 is an immpressive achievement in itself, but with a long wrestling career on top of it..wow..
Rest in peace. Your humorous appearances on the wrestling shows over the past few years will be missed.

I assume you're talking about real wrestling. From what I hear, the fake wrestlers are almost 50 on average these days.Guys in the sport'll be lucky to live past 50.

I sometimes wonder if her goofy times with Mae Young did anything to take away from her reputation. I know a lot of people who will think of that before what she did for woman's wrestling.Your humorous appearances on the wrestling shows over the past few years will be missed.
