People tell me that I still have an accent from my Texas living days, even though it's been years since I was last down in the area...

I guess I'd have to call it hybrid Texas/Boson, sort of I suppose.

Canadian accent mostly...though I'm told I have picked up slight Dutch and German tones due to the fact that the area I live in has a high population of Dutch and German people.

I have a Northern Ohio accent. Which is pretty bland.

(Northern Ohio accent differs only slightly from Central Ohio accent, and it's only noticable on a select few words.)

That's the accent that's known for being the most plain vanilla of any US accent.
I have a friend that visited America and someone thought he was from Oregon.

I myself tend to speak 'proper' english, and I sometimes get called posh for not slurring and using a broad A (I occasionally say laugh so it sounds like larf not laf), humph.

When my mum moved up from the south as a kid she tried to speak very flat to fit in, my dad however is from yorkshire (owt for nowt, etc). Haha, an interesting mix.

Fairly thick Boston accent with a touch of "generic British" (no clue where that came from). I've been told that I have a unique voice, profound but very calming. I also tend to "purr" when other people would sigh, and I almost NEVER speak unless spoken to.

Mine is unsteady and best approximated as "Mid-Atlantic."

Philadelphia, born and raised. But I don't have a heavy Philadelphia accent.

Or maybe I don't recognize the accent when I hear it because I'm so used to it, and because TV and movies often give Philadelphian characters New York accents instead.
It is a mistake to fancy that horror is associated inextricably with darkness, silence, and solitude. I found it in the glare of midafternoon, in the clangour of a metropolis...

I'm not too sure what my accent is. Well, lets see, I live in Canada, but my first language is German, but people say I don't have a German accent, but I talk with a German accent to my mom (who can't speak German) because it's easier. So the answer is: sometimes I have a German accent. :wag: It's funny when friends here me talking with a thick German accent to my mom, then turn to them and speak without one. :D

Mostly I kind of have a Midlands accent (Birmingham/Coventry area) which inherently makes you sound a bit thick. There's a bit of northern in there too but that's only noticable on certain words

Me, I still have the classic Pacific Northwest pronunciation from living in Oregon. That's the accent that's known for being the most plain vanilla of any US accent. :P
That's my accent too, although in my case it comes from living in Washington.

Though I live in Texas, I honestly don't have an accent unless I want to; in which case I have a southerner, British, and Canadian as the easiest ones.
Here is fine, there is good, but DC is my home (IRC is my vacation home that I visit more often than a normal person visits a vacation home.)
