Ozy - Drawn By Me

Postby Llewthepoet » Sun Sep 09, 2007 8:13 pm

EDIT: I didn't really like the picture, but it was a nice try.

My advice:

Draw.

Draw alot.

Draw for years and years.

Agreed. Me, I go through a 100 page sketchbook every 20 days or so, not going to a new page till the old page had been drawn on so much that nothing is recognizable - keep going like that, and you'll be awesome in no time.

Draw Ozy 100 times, same pose, correcting yourself each time, then look back over the course of your progress and you'll get a feeling of "OMG I rock", I promise. 8)

Do it in the middle of class as well, that's when I'm best at drawing. Or when you've got nothing else to do.

That's what I had to do... well, except for the "draw Ozy" part... couldn't teach myself anything drawing Ozy.

My FA... nothing's on it right now, so there's no point to click it.

Question: Was this drawn on paper or on the computer? Or did you do some of each like I do?

There is a disturbing lack of penis face on your Ozy.

It was on the computer, on GIMP, called the poor man's photoshop. I rarely draw and it shows.

Niko gave it that nickname. It's somewhat better than MSPaint, I think I made a good trade.

I wish I had the PATIENCE to do this. I can't draw something without erasing it if I don't get it perfect the first time, and for that reason I'll never get anywhere... and for that reason I am not an artist.

Don't think I've ever sat down and said "I'm going to improve my art"...it's something that just happens naturally. Plus, I don't bother drawing anything I won't upload somewhere.

Everything I've drawn, other than work-in-progresses are on DA or here.
