Of course it happened ten years ago today. I was wondering what you thought about this tragic death. It was very sad that she was a beloved person and she died so young. It was shocking.
Do you remember where you were when you heard the news?
Did anyone see the concert her sons put on for her?
What are your thoughts?

I was in Wildwood, NJ, on one of my family's many weekend trips to our shore house there. We were about to go to the Boardwalk when we heard about the crash on the news. It wasn't until well into our visit there that we heard from some of the other visitors that Princess Diana died from her injuries. It was a sad end to an evening of fun.

I was in the U.S., but only weeks earlier, I had been vacationing in England. I observed there that Diana could make the front page for little things, even when she was no longer a princess. It came as no surprise when I visited the Newseum and saw the size of the British headlines regarding her death.
I don't remember much about the initial hearing of the news, tho I do recall that Dodi's death was verified first. Mainly, I remember watching her funeral on TV. And that her death overshadowed Mother Teresa's.

Ahahahahahaha. All I know is that, if Princess Diana were alive today, she would almost certainly be trying to claw her way out of her coffin.
Anyway.
I remember when it happened 10 years ago quite clearly, because I was really upset. I wrote poems and drew pictures in her honor and stuff. I'm not even sure why. I mean, I may have HEARD of her a few times beforehand, but that's all.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

To tell the truth I'm not sure what all the ruckus is about. Someone who married into the royal family died in a car accident, besides the event of someone of her status dieing I'm not sure why everyone's obsessed. I don't mean to be disrespectful, it is sad that someone is dead... But it was ten years ago and making up conspiracies seems non-sense at this point. I hope she'll be able to rest in peace, Doc put it pretty well.
I think everybody's making too big a deal about it.
SHE'S BEEN DEAD FOR TEN YEARS. GET OVER IT.
All the newspapers have been running headlines on her - I mean, you'd expect the Mail to because they do it all the time (in between stories about immigrants impregnating farmers with wishy-washy liberal left EU cancer) but all of them? Even the Independent!

If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. (Revelation 2:5, NIV)

I'm going to side with my fellow Brit here in saying that it is a lot of fuss over someone who was too pantsless stupid to wear a seatbelt whilst drunk.
Big waste. Better people die everyday and we don't give them a sodding fountain (that doesn't work) and cri ourselves to sleep about it.
God, when the Queen finally cops it I'm leaving for Borneo somewhere for a few years to allow the UK to "de-wussify" again...
