Heyas...Thankies to all of you for posting in this. Means a lot to me to hear that people care, even those I don't know or haven't spoke a word to yet (I'd like to, though, to get to know them better).

As for how I'm holding up...I'm used to getting knocked around so, I'll be fine soon enough.

I know that you wrestle and stuff Nyte, if I remember correctly, but your own mother assaulting you is something that pisses me off. I hear too much about people with abusive parents. I'm getting sick of it. The parents must be dealt with. It's a shame that we can't personally do anything about it, but perhaps you can...

I guess there is, Sage..next time I visit my father I'm gonna see if I can move in with him. Sure, he's a drunk ,but he doesn't hit me.

And along with that I've been saving up money to eventually make a move to the U.S to be with the one I love; hopefully permanently so.

On Tuesday afternoon, I talked to Nyte on AIM and he told me he had passed out the night before. He then explained it was from blood loss and that his mother had beaten him because she found out he has a boyfriend. His mother apparently comes from a very catholic family.

Not every 17 year old can, or even wants to. Some refuse to fight a family member, or is too scared to fight back against said family member.

Tails is right, Not every 17 year olds can hurt there family member. But if i where in Nyte's shoes, I would fight back because I have my own rights on things i like.

Also, When i was a kid. My mom did the same thing (minus the beating up that makes you pass out bit) . But she whack me with a belt whenver i get naugthy, Heck i still have a belt mark on my back. She stopped doing this after I learned how to fight back and became a stubborn bastard with a bad temper, Now, Whenever she tries to hurt me. She knows what i'm capable of doing something to her.

Glad to hear you're doing well. It always sickens me to hear of this kind of stuff taking place, I guess I consider myself lucky that I grew to be larger than my father so fast. I really hope things work out for you man, I really do. GL!

As for why I didn't choose to actively defend myself..I wanna make one thing clear. I've been trained to fight and even worked as a professional wrestler for a while. Those sorts of things make you realise your strength and size and also make you try to avoid physical confrontation as a result.

Just for a comparison, I'm 5'11, a solid two-forty pounds. My mother's about 5'4, maybe one-twenty pounds or less. What'd happen to her if I hit her back even just once?..I'll leave it to your imagination.

That's still a choice though. I am glad you are doing okay though, I don't want to sound as if I am dismissing this incident, just merely pointing out that I wouldn't consider it child abuse. It is still deplorable, nonetheless.
