Or, just neo-classical for that matter, if classical is taken to be the period prior to the revolution.

what you mean by neo-classical is an oxymoron. neo-classical actually means a futuristic classical style, or todays style. you mean the retro-style. retro-classical would be redundant. and anybody know when he gets summer break?

well, post is a prefix meaning after. modern is a root word meaning pretty much current or present, thus, that would be a form of neo, except neo seems more far into the future than postmodern

Well, we <i>could</i> try using the term coined by Jacob.<br><br><!--QuoteBegin-Jacob+Jan 7 2004, 03:38 PM, for the title of his Christmas artwork--> <table border='0' align='center' width='95%' ><tr><td class='quotetop'><b>Quote:</b> (Jacob @ Jan 7 2004, 03:38 PM, for the title of his Christmas artwork)</td></tr><tr><td class='quotebody'> If this was for 2000 i'd have said Millie-nium.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table> <!--QuoteEEnd-->

Yes, the "Millienium Style" would be an appropriate name for the 2000 style. Sure, it started before the new millinium started(2001), but it's close enough that we can say that it was in preparation for the new millenium.<br>If the style changes much after this break of his, we could call it the "Neo-Millienium" style. Yet another way to confuse newcomers.
