32 is my favorite number, mainly because I really liked old Windows games based on 32x32 icons in a 32x32 grid.
Plus it's a binary number, you know, 1 2 4 8 16 32, or 000001 if you like.

I hate 8 too. I hate having to add things to it. My favorite number is 24,... maybe. No, it's probably 6. I like multiplying 6 to 4.

The way Millie is able to gorge herself on so much ice cream is another one of those running gags of the strip. One example that comes to mind is when she won back all her lunch money from Jeremy and spent it immediately. Such an excessive amount of food can be just totally funny simply because you really can't make a spread like that on a whim, yet they do.

Also, I think the fact that we can empathize with Millie in this strip only makes it more amusing. It's that "Oh, I've felt like that before.. gee, it looks a lot funnier when I'm not on the receiving end." And then the detail of her tongue sticking out only enhances the mood, as though there is so much ice cream in her there's no more room for her tongue.

BSP, Huffamoose... technically, you're both correct. Binary counting is naturally done in the way shown by Huffamoose, but in programming on an x86 style processor, the Least Significant Bit (LSB) appears first when recorded in memory.

Here is a sampling of binary codes for the numbers 1-9:

. .8421 . 6311 .
